Exams dates: The exams are tentatively scheduled as follows • Exam 1: Friday February 24, 6:30PM-7:30PM, room to be announced later. • Exam 2: Friday March 24, 6:30PM-7:30PM, room to be announced later. • Final exam: to be announced later. Grading: Grades will be determined using the following formula: Exam 1 (25%), Exam 2 (25%), Final Exam (50%), See the ”Examination and Quizzes” section in the undergraduate AUB catalogue p.45. Important: Final grades will be assigned with a curve that will not be determined before the final exam. Pop up quizzes will be given in the lecture and will count as bonus in the final grade. Attendance: You are expected to attend every lecture. Attendance in recitation sessions is mandatory and will be taken. Multiple unexcused absences will be penalized in the final grade. Exam problems will strongly reflect material presented during lectures. Important: In case you know that you will be absent, please let me know ahead of time. Electronic Devices: The use of personal electronic devices is not allowed in the classroom. However, permission can be granted in case you use such a device to take lecture notes.
