50% (60 minutes) |
Geographical, ecological, human, and other factors are believed to
have interacted during the transition from the 'Old Stone Age' or Palaeolithic to
the 'New Stone Age’ or Neolithic period, resulting in gradually changing human
adaptations to the environment.
Please, selectively describe the archaeological, environmental and
ethnoarchaeolgical evidence providing information for the story/stories of the
different Stone Age population groups living in the Near East at settlements like
Mureibet, Jericho, Catal Hiiyiik, Shams ed-Din Tannira and possible other
sites.
Do you think that Cauvin's concepts ‘Neolithic colonization’ and
‘Birth of the gods' adequately express some of the crucial events of this period?
